Revolver Upstairs prides itself on being a welcoming and inclusive space. We aim to ensure that all people who visit Revolver Upstairs are treated equally and with dignity and respect.

We have a staff and patron code of conduct displayed at our door that we expect everyone to abide by. We do not condone discrimination base on race, gender, sexual orientation, ability or any other factor.

FIRST NATIONS INCLUSIVITY

We have a limited number free or discounted tickets available for First Nation attendees for Revolver Upstairs presented events. We encourage promoters who hold events at our venue to offer the same.

Contact us via the contact form on our website by 5pm Thursday prior to the event.

ACCESSIBILITY

Revolver Upstairs is located on the 1st floor at 299 Chapel St, Prahran. Unfortunately due to the age and heritage listing of building and the accompanying occupancy permit it is not wheelchair accessible. For people with limited mobility, not in a wheelchair the venue is relatively easy to navigate once upstairs, with the performance areas, bar and toilets on the same level.

 TOILETS

We are a proudly inclusive organisation and have gender neutral toilets available.

QUIET SPACES

The nature of the venue means that there are not dedicated quiet spaces, however if you have special requirements please make a manager aware and a space can be provided when needed.

ventilation

As the building is in a high density residential area all windows are triple glazed and airlock doors are in place to ensure minimal noise disturbance to our neighbours, unfortunately this limits natural airflow and ventilation into the building. We instead rely on ceiling inverter ventilation.

TRAINING

Our induction for employees and contractors covers the venue’s policies and protocols to ensure no one is discriminated against. We regularly hold training sessions for staff and contractors covering topics including antisocial behaviour, sexual harassment and assault, cultural, gender and sexual orientation inclusivity and sensitivity.
